Absolutely. We take great care in preserving the integrity of all your customer information. If you can export it to a .csv or Excel file, we can import it. This include not only contact information, but other things like dining preferences, notes, or other useful columns your export may have.
In our experience, (if a .csv/Excel reservation export is even available) nearly all data structures of different reservation systems are too different to make a reservation import possible. Because of this incompatibility, we encourage restaurants to take this as a learning opportunity for their reservation management and host team. By spending a little time each day during the transition process to enter upcoming reservations, they become comfortable with the new system. Then, when it's time to go live, they're comfortable taking reservations over the phone while in the new booking environment.
We were the first to offer this functionality to restaurants (back when restaurant pagers were in use and Motorola flip phones were cool) over 10 years ago. Since then, we've pioneered ways to further leverage texting through guest feedback collection, MOD alerts, VIP notifications and even group dining lead generation.
What's is say about a restaurant if they need another company to be popular? It's a tough question that spurs a worthy debate.
